"...a refreshing mix of the traditional and the modern, jazz and non-jazz"
- Bloody Underrated
Where freedom meets structure, elegance meets energy, depth meets simplicity; this is the place Midcoast calls home. Comprised of a collective of emerging jazz musicians from Toronto, the group’s musicality and skill creates a live sound bursting with power and emotion. Having just released their debut full length album “Steps”, and completing their FIND second eastern-Canadian tour, Midcoast is on their way to becoming a staple of Canada’s jazz consciousness.
Not The Moon brings in all of their musical influences to present a fusion of jazz, electronic, hip-hop and groove music. The music takes the audience on an exciting and dynamic journey and each performance is fueled by the emotions and vibes of the particular night. The group was chosen to represent Canada as part of the Atina Jazz Festival in Italy in 2012 and have a weekly residency at Poetry Jazz Cafe.
