Nicola Woods is a visual artist working primarily in photography.
She was born in Sheffield U.K., received a BFA from the University of Manitoba, and a MFA
from Johnson State College in Vermont. Nicola has participated in various solo and
group exhibitions
in Canada and the U.S.A. Recently, her work was part of the Scotiabank CONTACT
Photography Festival in 2012 and in 2011 her work was included in the "Head of Orpheus"
issue of POIESSIS: The Journal of Arts and Communication.

contains and leaks; is solid and porous; and is composed of visible and invisible matter.
She is currently investigating the connections between trees, the human body and the pineal
gland for a new body of work.
