EAST SIDE BOOM! presents GYPSY JIVE BAND
Saturday September 20th, 8:00 pm  PWYC suggested $10
ESB Presents The Gypsy Jive CD Launch, alongside two great bands.

The Shoeless will kick things off at 8:00 pm sharp. This trio of incredible musicians (Emilyn Stam, Frank Evans and Eli bender) will play music from ALL CORNERS of the earth, on violin, banjo and cello, Bela Fleck meets Bela Bartok in Appalachia!

The Gypsy JIve Band is thrilled to launch their new CD, " Yennevelt " ! This new recording is a treasure trove of Yiddish, Sephardic and Greek traditionals, and a tongue in cheek original. Gary Weinger (violin) Murray Mckay (guitar) and Rachel Melas (bass)
with Conny Nowe sitting in on percussion.

Closing out the night will be Friends of Markos, with a set of classic Rebetiko music.
Michael Kaler (bouzouki and vocals), Michealangelo Ialdafano (baglama and vocals), Mark Zurawinski (percussion) and the now familiar Rachel Melas (still on bass)and Conny Nowe (guitar). 

GAS SUNDAY AFTERNOON PERFORMANCES presents…RIVERRUN
Sunday September 21, 3:30- 4:30 pm  PWYC suggested $10
RIVERRUN is a quartet made up of some of Toronto’s strongest musical personalities. Their sound has been described as “electro-chamber-jazz” and “minimalist-avant-garde-pop”. Cinematic, delving and disciplined, RIVERRUN cuts across stylistic boundaries and goes deep into the moment. RIVERRUN is: Tom Richards, Peter Lutek, Scott Petereson & Jake Oelrichs.
